Quality

Record Industry adopted the same  high Japanese quality standard from Sony Music Entertainment, and still use this as the standard to live up to. As a result, the quantities of records being pressed went up drastically, from 2 million records per year in 1998 to almost 7 million in 2004. Although the worldwide demand for vinyl has been decreasing the last 2 years, mainly due to the digital minded dance industry, Record Industry strongly believes in a future for vinyl especially in the high quality audiophile market.
